Lieh Hou!!!

I hope you all are doing fantastic because I am! Where to start oh boy.

So when you dropped me off I was escorted to my new room and the tour of the MTC. The new buildings are really fantastic. So they really just throw you into things in here and there isn't a lot of guidance on what you need to do. Especially in the language class! I learned a couple of words the first day. Dinner was ok that day, I really need to watch what I eat here because there is a lot of unhealthy food. Everyone in my district is really cool. My 2!! Companions are awesome! Elder Madsen is from south Jordan, and Elder Arnold who is from England and is literally ME in British form. The bear claw really got me through the first day so thanks for that very much.

Day 2:
I am not going to lie, this was the hardest day so far. I woke up and I realized..... I am not home. I started thinking of how much I miss home and I started to cry a little. I prayed for comfort and then my roommates said lets do companion study. The others in my room are Elder Turley and Fullmer. Turley is from Arizona and Fullmer from Texas so we don't mess with him. Just kidding we mess with him a lot. Then we went to class, and I ran into Elder Adams (Cap) and that got me through some of the day. It was so good to see a familiar face and he is heading out to Germany Sunday. Well i guess he already is out there. Then Elder Whattcot came and gave me a hug and that was super nice. He hasn't changed a bit. Then we had to do a interview meeting that night and a lesson on how to cope with stress and adjusting to life. I was interviewed by Brother SEOW. I started to cry when he was talking to me because when I saw him I thought of Home. He is so fantastic he really made my day.

Day 3:
We woke up earl this day because Loh Jeuhnglou (Arnold) is the District Leader. Then after that we just did companion study and prepared to teach our first investigator Rebecca. She can only speak Cantonesse!!!! A lot of people think she is a member but is just acting but I think she is real. The lesson was really good when we translated it and we think she got all we said. I said my first Prayer in Canto. The gift of Tongues is very real here and I am hopeful getting a little better.

Day 4:
This was a struggle day! It was all good until we had to teach Rebecca about the plan of salvation and I used the wooden model to explain it. She got it and then she asked how to get from Spirit Prison to The Celestial Kingdom........It took the lesson was 10 min and the additional 30 mins was from tying to translate what we wanted to say she was laughing and we told her we would explain it Tuesday since Sunday and Monday is P-day. Everyone in the district had a chance to speak, and I told them all about you guys and Stu from his mission. I said Goodbye to Cap and that was very easy actually. I am proud of him and what he is going to do. Also our room got onto some weird topic of who would marry who and I guess Elder Arnold and I are Engaged..........HELP!!!! No really these guys are the best and are so funny. I love them all.

Day: 5
So Sunday here is not a day of rest. We chose to fast this day for some blessings with our companion groups.  We had sacrament meeting and priesthood which was cool. Then we went on the temple walk and I really had some fun with pictures and I heard the Spring-Time Bird  that we always hear in our backyard! I instantly thought of mom and shed some tears. We joined the choir, and it is what I needed. Then we had an opportunity to do some service work right after that ,so we had to run to the cafeteria to break our fast and run back to usher the doors for the nights devotional. There was a man by the name of Kenneth Cope. He was a musician and had one of the best talks ever with his singing and guitar playing. Look him up. But after that we had to watch a movie by Elder Bednar for an hour and a half!!! Got to the residence and wrote in my journal and just crashed.

Day: 6
Just went to the temple this morning and did initiatories. Probably just botched that word  -but oh well. Now that we are back from the temple, we are writing emails, and am currently writing this now. oh, the sun died, and we are all going to die now ahhhh. I bought a Cantonese Hymn book so that's cool. Also some more hangers. Stuff isn't cheep HERE!!!!

Also i got here August 16 2017 and will be home August 20 2019. I am gonna take a pic of me ever day so i can see how i change in 2 years.

So thats pretty much all that has happened so far. I really do miss you all.
Well, i need to go get lunch. Also I think the world is ending because the sky is black and the sun died!!!! I think that God might be mad at someone.....Hahahaha.

I love you all so very much and every Pday for me is like Christmas please send me things to read and such. I want to hear from you if its notes or videos!
Happy Birthday Bokah and Nick love you all tons. This will be a group wide email since i am still learning how to do this all and start to right personal emails to you all when i get the hang of it. Talk to you next Monday!

Yours in Fellowship and love,
Dahng Jeunlouh
